An Evening with Michael Caines in association with HA
A real Festival highlight we're delighted to announce that Michael Caines is joining the fabulous roll call of top chefs flocking to Manchester for MFDF!
Michael will be hosting the dinner at MFDF Restaurant of the Year nominee, Michael Caines Restaurant at ABode Manchester in support of Hospitality Action - a charity which Michael has just become proud patron of for the Northwest. 50% of all ticket sales will be donated to Hospitality Action and a fabulous raffle will also be happening on the night in aid of HA. For over 170 years Hospitality Action, the Hospitality Industry Benevolent Organisation, has offered vital assistance to all who work, or have worked within hospitality in the UK and who find themselves in crisis.
Michael will work alongside Executive Chef Mark Rossi; their combined talents creating a celebration of local and seasonal produce. In his own unique fashion Michael will introduce each course, with the assistance of sommelier Steve Edwards, who will be offering tasting notes on the carefully selected wines that accompany each course. Diners will be treated to a Champagne and canapés reception with Michael at 7.00pm, before being seated for dinner at 7.30pm for a truly spectacular dining experience.
After spending the day in the kitchen alongside Mark, Michael will host this special evening in his own relaxed and inimitable style, with stories and anecdotes, as well as explaining the food, and above all outlining his philosophy about the importance of cooking locally, regionally and seasonally.
For over 170 years Hospitality Action, the Hospitality Industry Benevolent Organisation, has supported hospitality industry workers, suffering from life altering illnesses such as Parkinson’s disease, cancer and Multiple Sclerosis.Hospitality Action eases the strain of people experiencing poverty, bereavement and domestic violence, sick and disabled children and people of all ages with a large proportion of those they assist under the age of 60.
The money raised from our event will go towards grants for essential items including food, clothing and central heating, supporting our often isolated and lonely retired hospitality workers, holding seminars via The Ark Foundation to tackle the excessive effects of drugs and alcohol for Industry students and employees.
With Michael in attendance, this promises to be a unique, popular and very special evening. Tickets are priced at £90.00 per person, and £81.00 for dining club members and their guests. 50% of the ticket value will be donated to Hospitality Action.
