Don’t miss what promises to be one of THE events of the Food and Drink Festival 2011. Aimed at fans of wine – either expert or just enthusiastic– this is a quiz with a difference, the chance for you to learn about wine, or prove just how much you know by taking part. This will be a unique wine quiz, cheese tasting and fine food extravaganza.

Enter as teams or individuals, you will sample six wines as your friendly hosts, Manchester Confidential boss and gourmand, Mark Garner aka ‘Gordo’ and international wine expert, Charlie Womersley read a description for each. And all you have to do is to guess which one of these ‘experts’ is bluffing.

The winning team wins the hugely sought after title of ‘Confidential Wine Tasters of the Year’ and will be treated to £100 worth of vouchers to spend at Piccolino, The Restaurant Bar & Grill or Zinc.Wines, from T Wright Wine, will be matched by a cheese, from ‘Cheese Detective’ Peter Papprill. The evening will be rounded of by exceptional two-course supper food from chef Louise Varley from Ramsons Hideaway.

Given Manchester Confidential’s unrivalled reputation within the city’s food and drink scene, this will be a special evening that any foodie or wine lover will appreciate. Tickets are £20 per person.
