Live Cookery Theatre with Joudie Kalla

Leith's School of Food and Wine trained Joudie Kalla has been a chef for over 16 years -at restaurants such as Gordon Ramsay's Pengelley's, Daphne's and Papillon and latterly asan acclaimed supper club host. Joudie's food is inspired by her Palestinian family heritage - vibrant, healthy dishes that are easy to make. Her first book, Palestine on a Plate, was an instant bestseller and critical hit, praised by Nigella Lawson. She will  be signing copies of her new book, Baladi, which roughly translates from Arabic as 'My Country'. The book takes the reader on a journey through Palestinian food and culture. Its imagery has been captured by Palestinian locals - giving the book the feel of a community project. The recipes are veggie and vegan friendly but cater to every palate - influenced by the diversity of food from the fields, markets, orchards and sea.

Joudie will be signing copies of her latest book after the demonstration.
