Fancy making your own kimchi sauerkraut or kombucha? Julia Goddard from Altrincham Market's Plucky Pickle and Emma Thackray from Booch and Brine will show you how. Julia specialises in widely available small batch pickles and ferments with fresh ingredients and no additives; Emma, who got into wild fermenting while living in the USA, runs fermenting classes around Manchester and Cheshire. Once you understand the basic techniques we think you'll be hooked, too. And how healthy and good for the gut are sauerkraut (basically fermented cabbage), kimchi (spicy Korean cabbage and radish ferment) and kombucha (fermented, effervescent, sweetened black or green tea).
