Albert Square Transformed into a Chocolate-Lovers ParadiseThis year’s festival sees Albert Square become the location for a chocolate-lovers paradise as more than 25 of the UK’s finest chocolatiers bring their wares to the city centre. With tastings, samples and demonstrations for all to enjoy, check out world-class brands at our FREE choc-tastic fair. Learn all about how chocolate is made, and, of course, taste plenty of exceptional samples too!
The MFDF Chocolate Festival is set to take place all day on Saturday 2nd October 2010 on Albert Square as part of the MFDF Festival Pavilion Opening Weekender. The Pavilion is close to main bus routes, car parks and approximately 10 minutes walk from Piccadilly Station.
Find Yourself a Golden Ticket in an MFDF Chocolate Bar!The Manchester Food and Drink Festival has come over all Willy Wonka this year - to celebrate our Chocolate Festival, we're teaming up with Ramsbottom's award-winning Chocolate Café to produce our own chocolate bar! The Chocolate Café are producing the very first, limited edition, MFDF 'Manchester Tart' flavoured bar which will be on sale from exclusive outlets in the lead up to and during the Festival. A local delicacy, Manchester Tart brings together the flavours of raspberry, coconut, custard and cherry in a mouth-watering combination - we can't wait!
And that's not all... We're hiding 3 golden tickets in the bars, with the star prize being a YEAR'S WORTH OF DINING OUT IN MANCHESTER'S BEST RESTAURANTS! All you have to do is tuck in!
Keep a look out for more MFDF Chocolate Festival updates as we build up to the most exciting MFDF yet!
