MFDF Gala Dinner and Awards 2014

After an amazing 10 days of Festival fun, great weather and some incredible food & drink we celebrated the region's finest with a Gala Dinner & Awards night on Monday 29th September 2014.

After a glamorous 3 course meal at the beautiful venue that is Manchester Town Hall, the Awards were presented to the lucky winners by hosts Becky Want and Matt White with celebrity presenters including Noddy Holder.

Headline winners were Adam Reid (The French, Midland Hotel) for Chef of the Year, Manchester House for Restaurant of the Year and Tim Bacon won the Outstanding Achievement award.

Aiming to recognise the best dining establishments in Manchester in 2014. This category refers to venues visited primarily for a full dining experience featuring table service, alcohol license etc.

Best Street Food of the Year – new category for 2014
This year the Festival will recognise one of the Greater Manchester-based street food legends that are gracing our kerbs with an ever increasing plethora of gastro goods. To be eligible for this category businesses must own a street  food operation that has been trading for at least 6 months at the time of entry.

The Howard and Ruth Award for Outstanding Achievement

Recognising a person or business who has contributed something outstanding to the food and drink industry in Greater Manchester over the last 16 years.
