MFDF2024 AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED!
Hospitality talent from across Greater Manchester came together at New Century last night (Monday 27th January), for the return of the prestigious Manchester Food and Drink Festival (MFDF) Awards, which saw 18 winners announced from food and drinks establishments across the region. With 136 outstanding venues, traders, places and people nominated, the categories recognise both the businesses and talented individuals who have shaped the city’s culinary scene over the past 12 months.
The MFDF Awards celebrate Manchester’s thriving and innovative hospitality scene - the heartbeat of the city and a key part of its world-class appeal. Selected by a panel of judges made up of leading food and drinks experts, writers and critics, the 18 categories reflect the breadth and diversity of Manchester's exceptional food and drink community. The shortlists included everything from Michelin-star dining to affordable eats and innovative newcomers.
Shortlisted venues were put to the public vote via the MFDF website where thousands of food and drink fans voted for their favourite winner. Scores from a mystery shopping visit, carried out by members of the judging panel, were also combined with the public vote for some of the awards to determine the winners.
Alexa Stratton-Powell, Awards Director of Manchester Food and Drink Festival Awards commented:
“We’re thrilled to be announcing this list of incredible winners. In such tough times for the industry, we want to thank, support and celebrate every nominee and winner and their fantastic achievements. We hope that the food fans of Greater Manchester and beyond will be inspired to go out and support all of these exceptional venues that we are so lucky to have on our doorstep.”
