MFDF Cheese and Chocolate Fest
This year we're launching a brand new Cheese and Chocolate Festival, celebrating two of Britain's most glorious and gluttonous foods. Cheese, in particular, is one of Greater Manchester's specialities and we're lucky to welcome a whole host of local makers and traders to showcase their best for you to taste. Stocked with amazing flavours and textures from this region and beyond, look out for your favourites - and a number of new favourites too - as the likes of Altrincham's own Burt's Blue pitch up in our foodie pavilion. As well as the chance to try some great cheeses, you can learn about the history of cheese making and meet the producers that make Britain's industry so diverse.
The sweeter side of the festival sees a full-on chocolate adventure camping out in the city centre. Following the success of the Chocolate Festival in 2010 and 2011, which made Manchester a major destination on the chocolate map, we're bringing the big dogs back in to take on that sweet tooth. Visit our Chocolate Market featuring some of the country's best retailers selling and sampling their wares. Meet the makers, taste the many flavours on offer and meet some of the biggest names in chocolate today.
